As We Strengthen Our Commitment to Scottish Cyber Security With Our Upcoming Summit

Aspire are pleased to share that we have expanded our Scottish operations with our new office on St Vincent Street, Glasgow. Situated in the heart of Glasgow’s business district, the new office enhances our capacity to support its growing client portfolio and solidify its position in the Scottish market.

Since acquiring Glasgow-based Cloud Cover IT in January 2024, we have seen increased demand across Scotland for advanced technology services. Our notable partnerships include Peter Vardy, which has outsourced its entire service desk across branches to Aspire, alongside Caledonia Housing, Northcare, Whyte Mackay, Parks of Hamilton and Safer Scotland. These collaborations highlight our expanding role in delivering tailored IT solutions that enhance security resilience and operational efficiency for organisations across diverse sectors, including automotive, housing, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Recent cyber security incidents in Scotland underscore the urgency for businesses to enhance their defences. In March 2024, NHS Dumfries and Galloway experienced a significant cyber attack, leading to the publication of sensitive patient data on the dark web. Additionally, in September 2024, a cyber attack targeted Wi-Fi systems across 20 major UK train stations, including Glasgow Central and Edinburgh Waverley, displaying alarming messages to users. These incidents highlight the escalating cyber threats facing Scottish organisations and the need for robust cyber security measures.

In response to these challenges, we will bring together business and technology leaders at a Cyber Summit on 26 November in Glasgow. Our summit will explore pressing cyber security issues, providing practical insights and strategies to help organisations strengthen their security posture. Speakers include experts from CrowdStrike, the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland, and Jenny Radcliffe, a world-renowned ‘People Hacker’. These experts will share their knowledge on topics ranging from cyber resilience to the human side of security, offering a comprehensive view of modern cyber threats.

“We’re excited to open our new office in Glasgow and continue supporting Scotland’s evolving business landscape,” said Shaun Richardson, sales manager at Aspire. “The Cyber Summit is an essential part of our ongoing commitment to helping local organisations better protect themselves from digital threats. By bringing together such a diverse group of experts, we aim to equip organisations with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly complex cyber security landscape.”

We continued investment in Scotland, including the new office and the Cyber Summit, underscores our dedication to helping businesses navigate the digital challenges of today and tomorrow, establishing the company as a leader in managed IT and cyber security services.
