What is the purpose of NEST?

NEST is being established to showcase the North East as the Sustainable Technology capital of the UK.

We are looking for businesses based in the North East – or doing significant business in the region – who are either working in the Sustainable Technology sector, offering sustainable technology products/services or with a passion for improving their own sustainability credentials to join Aspire and our NEST founding members, Stellium Datacentres, Extreme Networks and Born Good.

What is NEST’s mission?

NEST’s core mission will be based on the following principles:

  • To promote the region as the sustainable technology capital of the UK (and Europe)
  • To network and share best practice in the development and application of sustainable technology solutions
  • To help educate and raise standards in sustainability best practice across all businesses in the region
  • To engage with representative bodies including political leadership in the region to promote better integration between sustainable technology businesses and education
